Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca is a 204-bed acute-care facility for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient needs. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), CMC is a not-for-profit regional health care organization, employing 800 health-care professionals, with an affiliated medical staff of 180 physicians. Cayuga Medical Center Emergency Department:
The Emergency Department is open 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. While the majority of patients admitted to the Emergency Department arrive by ambulance following injuries, accidents, or sudden traumatic illness, patients are also treated for illnesses and injuries that need immediate attention. If you are uncertain about whether you need emergency room services, call Gannett anytime of day or night to consult with a health care provider. We will help you determine what care you need, and how and when to get it. If necessary, we will arrange transportation to Cayuga Medical Center.

Cayuga Medical Center Convenient Care Center:
The Convenient Care Center is staffed full-time by physicians, registered nurses, and support personnel who offer medical care on a walk-in basis, without an appointment. If you are uncertain about whether you need Convenient Care Center services, call Gannett anytime of day or night to consult with a health care provider. We will help you determine what care you need, and how and when to get it. If necessary, we will arrange transportation to the Convenient Care Center.
