Appointments at FSAP
Callers may call or come in to FSAP to request in person counseling sessions. Their first session can be either a brief assessment over the phone or through a brief in-person assessment.
During this assessment the counselor will assist the caller in determining what type of care the faculty or staff member may need. If it is apparent that they will need ongoing care the counselor will refer the faculty or staff member to a local community therapist. If it is determined the concerns can be managed in a time limited manner the counselor will provide three free counseling sessions. If after three session additional counseling is needed the faculty or staff member will be referred to a community provider or agency.
